U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert reacts after shooting at Trump rally
U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, a Colorado Republican, speaks with Kyle Clark after the shooting Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Donald Trump's campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
Oh, PLEASE...she's been in office for 1,288 days (As of July 14, 2024) and NONE of her Bills have made it to being signed into Law
And how many Bills that became law is she taking credit for (she voted against) and her constituent's are getting money for?
'Rhetoric"?
Let's take a look at how she's supported the January 6th Insurrectionists and then there's her tweet about Nancy Pelosi
A Christmas card with her entire family holding guns?
Voting against a Bill for border security?
She needs to familiarize herself with separation of church and state and stop holding events in churches
"The First Amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion."
She needs to familiarize herself with Former Presidents Act
She's milking it
Something to look at is
How come Secret Service didn't secure the building he was found on?
Look up location of shooter and then click on Images
They were in "RURAL AMERICA" where there aren't a LOT of buildings
and
IF he was shot in the ear why weren't there chunks of his ear missing?
What about the direction of blood splatter or ?
Shouldn't there be blood in one area, dripping down the neck? The blood forward on his face is probably from the movement of his hand, not the projection of a bullet moving past him
Is it he was hurt by glass fragments from the teleprompter like other news outlets are say?
The physics of the 'strike' would splatter it backward. All over that thing on his head. Yet there's not a drop
A bullet would've torn off his ear!
As for our thoughts towards Donald Trump "Thoughts and prayers" like he and his supporters often say after a school shooting. And "Get over it" since that's what he said 36 HOURS after the Iowa school shooting (1 killed and 7 injured)
Our sympathies to the families that were touched by this tragedy, yes, even to the shooter's family
The shooter wasn't a democrat
He wasn't an illegal immigrant
He wasn't an LGBTQ person
He wasn't an African American
It wasn't anyone Donald's been saying is "Poisoning the blood of Americans"
He was white, young and a REGISTERED REPUBLICAN
Then I got to thinking about what Donald Trump said after the Perry, Iowa School Shooting
He said to 'get over it" 36 hours AFTER that shooting
Then I got to thinking about something else...
I'm not one to go down the road of conspiracies, but I found it odd that Donald Trump recently met with Viktor Orban. He'd just met with Vladimir Putin
All three of them are even planning a reunion
Then I thought, "Have they ever had an attempted assassination done on them?"
Yes, there was an attempted assassination on Viktor Orbán, the Prime Minister of Hungary, in 1998. Orbán was in opposition at the time, and the attack occurred during a campaign rally in Budapest. An assailant fired at Orbán with a toy gun modified to shoot rubber bullets. Fortunately, Orbán was not seriously injured, as the rubber bullets did not penetrate his clothes. The attacker, a mentally unstable man, was apprehended shortly after the incident. This event is part of the political history of Hungary but did not result in any long-term consequences for Orbán's political career.
Someone tried to assassinate Vladimir Putin in 2000, 2002, 2007, 2012 and 2016
Curious?
Makes one think!
No, we don't trust Donald Trump at all and he lies, a LOT!
We think he's milking it!
THEN I GOT TO THINKING, BECAUSE I'M CURIOUS ABOUT EVERYTHING WHEN IT DOESN'T ADD UP
In the annals of political history, the notion of a faked assassination attempt by a sitting president is both chilling and intriguing. Such a scenario, while purely hypothetical, raises profound questions about leadership, ethics, and the dynamics of power. Let’s delve into this provocative topic, exploring how such an event could be staged and its potential ramifications.
The Hypothetical Scenario
Imagine a president who orchestrates a faked assassination attempt on themselves. The motives behind such an audacious act could vary widely: to garner sympathy, consolidate power, distract from scandals, or even to justify a crackdown on perceived threats. While highly unethical and illegal, the idea of staging such an event challenges our understanding of the lengths some leaders might go to achieve their goals.
Feasibility and Planning
1. Security Complicity:
Access Control: The president could exploit weaknesses in their security detail, ensuring that only trusted individuals are aware of the plan. This might involve manipulating schedules or compromising security protocols.
Simulated Threat: Working with insiders, the president could arrange for a realistic but non-lethal threat, such as a blank-firing gun or a superficial injury that appears serious.
2. Media and Public Perception:
Immediate Response: In the aftermath, prompt and dramatic media coverage would be crucial. The narrative must portray the president as a heroic survivor or a martyr, depending on the desired outcome.
Public Outcry: The event would likely provoke outrage and sympathy among the public, potentially galvanizing support for the president’s agenda.
3. Investigation and Cover-Up:
Official Inquiry: A meticulous investigation, ostensibly independent but controlled behind the scenes, would ensure that the fabricated nature of the attempt remains concealed.
Perpetrator Scapegoat: A convenient scapegoat could be identified to take the blame, further reinforcing the authenticity of the attempt.
Ethical and Legal Implications
The ramifications of staging such an elaborate deception are profound:
Trust Erosion: Public trust in political institutions and leadership would erode significantly.
Legal Consequences: The president and any accomplices would face severe legal repercussions, including charges of conspiracy, fraud, and potentially treason.
Political Fallout: Internationally, such an event could damage diplomatic relations and undermine the credibility of the nation.
Conclusion
The idea of a president faking an assassination attempt is not just a fantastical scenario but a cautionary tale about the abuse of power and the manipulation of public sentiment. While thankfully rare in reality, history reminds us that political leaders are not immune to hubris and Machiavellian tactics.
As citizens, journalists, and scholars, it is incumbent upon us to scrutinize and hold our leaders accountable, ensuring that the institutions designed to protect democracy remain robust and vigilant against such abuses. In exploring this hypothetical scenario, we confront uncomfortable truths about the nature of power and the fragility of trust in our political systems.
Ultimately, the faked assassination attempt by a president, sitting or non-sitting, serves as a stark reminder of the delicate balance between authority and accountability—a balance that must be upheld to preserve the integrity of democratic governance.
Maddow: Trump win 'gives us a really big to-do list' to defend democracy
Rachel Maddow speaks to Americans who do not want to surrender democracy to Donald Trump's authoritarian management and points out that since it did not work to defend democracy with the election, it is time to turn to a new set of tools and tasks to preserve the system of government used in the United State of America since its inception.
Maddow points out frightening truth about Trump's lack of concern about votes
Rachel Maddow rounds up instances in which Donald Trump not only assures his supporters that if he is elected they won't have to vote in the future, but also that even for this 2024 election he does not need votes. Maddow posits that the reason Trump doesn't care about votes is that he intends to win by manipulating the administration of the voting tabulation.
